Panic gripped residents and passers-by after a five-story building collapsed in the city. The building, approximately 100 years old, was located in Bandiya Mohalla, Ucchi Gali.

As a result of the incident, two people, a woman and her child, were injured and taken to a private hospital. The injured were Khushi Arora and her one-and-a-half-year-old child.

While Khushi suffered a head injury, her baby sustained minor injuries. They were taken to a private hospital and their condition is said to be stable.

Several families previously lived in the building, but they left yesterday. Neighbors said they had complained to the owner in the past about the poor condition of the building, but to no avail.

Residents of the area said that the mishap also damaged their houses. The incident occurred between 2 and 3 p.m. The police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
