The terrifying moment a celebrity falls in SAS: Who Dares Wins as the DS crew screams ‘he’s going to die’

They say that the one who dares wins, but viewers were afraid that one star could do it die instead, on last night’s hit, boundary-pushing Channel 4 show.

A member of the directing team (DS) has raised concerns that one of the contestants on the grueling reality show may have seriously overdone it while traversing the icy terrain of New Zealand’s southern islands.

Viewers were eagerly awaiting the demise of poor Pete Wicks in the third episode of the latest series SAS Stars: Whoever dares wins, which aired on Sunday (September 29).

The former TOWIE star, 36, looked completely exhausted as he hauled himself up a snowy mountain carrying his 130lb kit in a race against the rest of the recruits.

This isn’t his first rodeo on the show, as Wicks had already signed up for the 2022 edition before he had to withdraw due to injury, but it appears his previous experience in Jordan didn’t serve him well in this chilly climate.

The reality star teamed up with comedian Tez Ilyas to complete the strenuous task, but the comedian was forced to withdraw from the race when DS claimed mid-race that he was a “safety concern.”

As a result, Wicks had to carry all the equipment himself, with terrifying consequences.

DS Billy Billingham, who has previously served as a bodyguard for stars such as Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise, walked alongside the celebrity, encouraging him to continue with the challenge.

However, it was obvious that Wicks had serious difficulty climbing the mountain and eventually collapsed due to extreme exhaustion.

He was seen screaming in pain before deciding to “move on” and then told Billingham: “I feel dizzy.”

The former SAS sergeant major, 59, told him to drink some water before replying: “It won’t end! Let’s go! You look like a rain of shit.”

Worriedly, Billingham then added: “He won’t survive. He will die.”

Eventually, Wicks was taken back to base by medical staff for examination, which he wasn’t too happy about.

He expressed his frustration at not being able to persevere, telling the cameras: “It’s not easy for me to rely on other people. I rely on myself. Yes, I really am a bit of a lone wolf.

“I’m not very good at revealing things to people because I feel like it’s my problem and I have to come to terms with it.

“And that’s not fair, because ultimately all you’re doing is creating a bigger fucking hole for yourself, right?”

Wicks was subsequently cleared to return to competition, although medical staff warned that if he encountered these types of problems again he would be withdrawn from the Channel 4 show on health grounds.

DS, however, patted him on the back for his efforts, applauding him for committing 110%, while also rubbing a little salt in the wound and revealing that he was just 400 meters short of completing the task.

Discussing his health scares, Wicks told The Sun: “Listen, it’s been a tough challenge. I fell. I was simply pushed to my limits and was very dehydrated.

“That’s pretty weird, I think I’m the only one feeling heat exhaustion in this damn snow. I wasn’t taking care of myself, and there’s a fine line between doing something right and wrong.”

He added that he was proud that he “pushed himself” and admitted that he was “afraid of being pulled out of it.” SAS Stars: Whoever dares wins for the second time in a row.
